Ross is a picturesque heritage village in the centre of Tasmania which was settled in 1812 and is one of Australia’s most original convict built stone villages.
Nestled on the banks of the Macquarie River it showcases a National Icon, the third oldest bridge in Australia built by convict stonemasons.
Many of the original sandstone buildings in the village have been proudly restored and preserved for future generations.
T Spot, located at 13-17 Bridge Street (around the corner from the pub) is one such restoration adjoining the sandstone cottage “Haynook” circa 1835. The shop was added as the original local butchers in 1890.
Julie and Barry Race invite you to visit T Spot, where a visit isn’t just about grabbing a quick cuppa. Offering much more than over 50 tasty teas from all four corners of the globe, our Tea House/Café and giftware shop is a place to relax and imbibe in the unique atmosphere of old world charm and hospitality.
Centrally located, Ross, Tasmania is the perfect base for touring Tasmania so why not stay a while in our gorgeous Country Style Cabin.
